France is our largest market and a leader in modeling social responsibility and transparency. For example, the new headquarters, located in an area of economic development near Paris, is in a building that meets the French HQE (High Environmental Quality) eco-building requirements, including the following:
- Construction involved efforts to reduce pollution related to construction sites.
- The building was designed to maintain environmental performance over the long term, encourage the recycling of commercial waste, and reduce the consumption of natural resources through efficient use of energy-saving lighting, heating and cooling systems, and sensors.
- The building and its surrounding land were designed to achieve harmony between buildings and their urban environment, in part by creating quality outdoor space.
